Is Sunday Friends a religious organization?

No. Sunday Friends takes no position on religious matters. We are a secular, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.


How is Sunday Friends doing in these hard economic times?

In 2009, we had net income of about $6,000. We have no debt and continue to maintain a prudent financial reserve of cash.


How does Sunday Friends measure success?

Sunday Friends' expenses were about $381,000 in 2009 (compared to $350,000 in 2008) in three main areas: program (91%), administration (8%) and fundraising events(1%).


Where does Sunday Friends get its funding?

Our funding comes from three main sources: individuals (61%), businesses (27%) and foundations (11%). We receive no government funding.


What is Sunday Friends' greatest need?

Funding to purchase consumable basic necessities (such as laundry detergent, school supplies, toiletries, household cleansers and diapers).


How many people participated in Sunday Friends programs in 2009?

734 children (up 20% over 2008) and 315 parents (up 16% over 2008) plus 1,500 volunteers, contributing over 17,000 hours of their time.
