December Holidays
Imagine a family gathered together on Christmas morning, proudly exchanging
specially chosen, wrapped presents. Many of our participants have never had this experience.
This year, you can help Sunday Friends provide the way for children and their parents to exchange personal gifts, building family unity and self-esteem.
Please donate new toys, gifts for all ages, gift certificates to local stores and
funds now.
Your contributions will help stock our Treasure Chest, where children and their parents can earn, select and gift-wrap special gifts to
give each other. Participants use the tickets they have earned while participating in our program activities and saved in the Sunday Friends Bank to shop for presents for their loved ones.
In this way, they experience the true meaning of the season.... the season of giving.
How is this Different from other Charitable Christmas Programs?
Many wonderful organizations collect and distribute gifts to families at Christmas time.
These gifts do bring joy.
Sunday Friends brings a different kind of joy: the joy of giving.
We take families out of the role of "charity case" and enable them to
give to their loved ones with diginity and self-respect.
Supporting family pride and unity are among our key goals.
This year our Holiday Program will be Sunday, December 13.
We would apprecaite your donations by December 11.
You can also support our families by signing up for
eScrip. A donation will be made every time you use your credit cards at thousands of locations.
It's fast! It's free! It's easy!
All donations made through Sunday Friends are tax-deductible.
See How to Donate.
We support healthy food choices, so please do not donate candy or sweets. The Treasure Chest is already well stocked with stuffed animals for this holiday season.
