Back to School with Sunday Friends

Sunday Friends
"School is important for my children because they can have a better future and a good career and they won't struggle like we struggled."- Sunday Friends Mom

School supplies are the essential tools of success for our children. Sunday Friends ensures that over 700 children each year can acquire what they need through our programs.

In 2017, the Back-to-School "shopping" kicked off with a big event on Sunday, August 13 and continued throughout the coming school year - and beyond. The story is best told through the following photos from that special day. Enjoy the pictures of happy, proud children showing off their new backpacks (which they earned themselves) in 2017!

In 2018, the big Back-to-School shopping event will take place on August 12. Please contact mail@sundayfriends.org if you would like to talk about running a school supply drive in 2018 - or start by reading  Organize a Back to School Drive.

Please help us thank the following organizations, as well as many individuals and families, who collected, purchased and/or funded school supplies in 2017:

Adaptive Insights, Coherent, Inc., Congregation Etz Chayim, Family Giving Tree, Girl Scout Troop 60280, Korean Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, Los Gatos High School Interact Club, Magnovo Training Group, Marquez-Hsieh Financial Advisory Group, Mission City Community Fund, National Charity League (NCL) Orchard Valley, Office of Councilmember Johnny Khamis, Rotary Club of Los Gatos, St. Thomas of Canterbury, Western Digital Foundation
