"I
like to help because this program helps me and my kids become
independent." — Sunday Friends Mom
Welcome to the Sunday Friends Newsroom
Sunday Friends is a secular non-profit organization located in San Jose that serves
very-low-income families. Our goal is to bring about change in the
lives of families that lack the financial resources and community
support it takes to get back on their feet. While helping families in
need, community volunteers at the program are given an opportunity to
enrich their own lives by helping these families develop attitudes and practice skills while they earn the things they need.
Sunday Friends empowers families in need to break the cycle of poverty. Children and parents earn basic necessities while they contribute to their community, learn life skills and develop self-sufficiency.
