The
Union Bank of California
provided Sunday Friends a $2,500 grant to support the Financial Literacy Program.
These funds will help us teach our families money management and practical financial skills.
The
Rotary Club of San Jose North
granted $2,000 to Sunday Friends to store, transport and safeguard our
educational and program materials, as well as to purchase pop up tents to
protect our families from the weather as we expand our activities outside
to accommodate our growing programs.
The
Los Altos Town Crier Holiday Fund has been supporting Sunday Friends for eight years.
Each year, The Holiday Fund selects low-overhead, direct service nonprofits
in the Bay Area and encourages its readers to donate. The Town Crier absorbs all
administrative costs of the fund drive, so all of the contributions can go to benefit the community.
We are delighted to acknowledge the third $10,000 grant from
Applied Materials to enhance our Sunday Friends programs. Like Sunday Friends, Applied Materials is dedicated to helping children build the academic and developmental assets needed for success in life.
Special thanks to Coyote Foundation for recognizing that
Sunday Friends still needs to cover such expenses as insurance,
janitorial costs and employee salaries. Although these expenses are low
compared to other organizations, they are still vital to our success.
