1. Complete the online New Volunteer Application and submit it no later than the Wednesday prior to the program you want to attend. Fill it out completely.
If you have scheduled a guest group activity, please make sure that every
member of your group has read the Volunteer Orientation and submitted the
Volunteer Application. Make sure each member fills in the same name for your group as well as the group leader's name.
2. If you are under 18 or a high school student, you must also have one of your parents read the Parent of Volunteer Orientation on this website. Make sure that your parent submits the completed Parent Permission Form.
3. If you are under 14, you are welcome to volunteer in our program but you must bring an adult with you. Please have that adult complete this Volunteer Orientation, in addition to you.
4. Check out the
directions to the program, but don't show up before you have completed the
phone interview.
5. You will receive a phone call from a Sunday Friends interviewer within a few business days, but only if you have completely filled out and submitted your online Volunteer Application. In the phone conversation, you and the interviewer will agree on a date for the first Sunday that you will join us in the program. Be aware that some Sundays may be full.
6. Mark your calendar. We are expecting you to fulfill your volunteer commitment for the precise days and hours scheduled. Our program and the families are counting on you. If something changes for you, be sure to call ahead and let us know that you need to cancel or reschedule. If you arrive for the first time on a day for which you have not been scheduled, we will probably not be able to invite you in.
7. Return Often Once you have completed your first day with Sunday Friends, you will be welcome to return any program day. You do not need to schedule subsequent volunteering dates, but you are always welcome to call with questions, ideas, request a specific assignment or anything else.

CommUniverCity will be coordinating the volunteers. Please note, there will be no program at Lowell School on October 19.
