Values

Values

We are committed to working to impact health equity for all through principles of community.

The five core values that guide our work are:

  • Dignity: We affirm the inherent self-worth of every individual and embrace the responsibility to create access to opportunities to live a healthy life, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or other factors.

  • Caring: We practice kindness, concern for others, and mutual respect, to foster trust and build healthy relationships.

  • Solidarity: We believe in the beauty of camaraderie and the strength that comes from “standing with” all we help in support of community.

  • Collectiveness: We embrace the interconnected nature of our combined contributions as a crucial aspect of a thriving community. We believe our ability to work together and beside all we help contributes to our mutual success.

  • Agency: We believe that positive power can be unleashed when people are given the tools to advocate for their future.

Our Statement on Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion:

The Sunday Friends Foundation is committed to fostering and maintaining an environment where diversity, equity and inclusion are fully integrated into everything we do. We are committed to an environment where all members, staff, volunteers, board members, donors, and partners feel valued and respected regardless of gender, gender identity, age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religious beliefs, marital status, immigration or economic status, sexual orientation or identity, disability, and education.

We’re committed to being nondiscriminatory and providing equal opportunities for employment, volunteering, and advancement in all areas of our work. We respect the value that diverse life experiences and heritages bring to our community and to fulfilling the mission of the Sunday Friends Foundation. We strive to bring all voices to the table for continuous feedback and include all viewpoints and voices in organizational decision-making. The Sunday Friends Foundation is committed to modeling diversity, inclusion, and equity while maintaining fair and equitable treatment for all.
